Argon is a focused review of a company’s technology, delivery capability and material technical risk before an investment, acquisition or portfolio decision.
What Argon answers
A useful technical diligence process does more than inventory tools or count tickets. It tests whether the technical organisation can support the business case, which risks are already visible, and where uncertainty remains.
- Can the current architecture and operating model support the plan?
- Which risks could change the investment case, timing or integration approach?
- Which claims are supported by evidence, and which still need validation?

Scope and evidence
The review is adapted to the transaction and may cover architecture, security and operational practices, delivery flow, technical debt, team topology, ownership, vendor dependencies and the relationship between product commitments and engineering capacity.
Evidence can include interviews, architecture and system documentation, selected repositories and delivery data, incident history, roadmaps and operating procedures. Access is agreed in advance and kept proportionate to the decision.

- An evidence-backed red, amber and green assessment
- A risk and remediation matrix that separates immediate concerns from longer-term improvements
- A 90-day action outline for the owner or portfolio team
- A concise walkthrough for the decision-makers, including limitations and unresolved questions
Argon does not promise certainty where the evidence does not support it. Assumptions, access limits and open questions are stated explicitly.
Format and pricing
Fast review: €15,000. Deep review: €25,000. Engagements typically run for 2–3 weeks; the appropriate depth depends on transaction stage, access and decision risk.
Argon is a diagnostic engagement. It does not include delivery ownership, remediation implementation or a guarantee of investment outcomes.
